HCPA Funding News!!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING FUNDING FROM THE HCPA MANDATORY/SPECIALIST GRANT
As indicated when the fund opened in April 2011, the HCPA are now reviewing the caps put on each organisation.
The April – Sept 30th 2011 cap was £2000 – THIS WILL BE CLOSED ON 30th SEPT and ALL CLAIMS AFTER THIS WILL BE TAKEN FROM THE NEW CAP.
The NEW cap for the period Oct 1st to 31st Jan will be £1500 per organisation.
The HCPA will be reviewing the situation on 31st Jan 2012 and will inform you if there is any remaining grant that can be allocated, but this is NOT GUARANTEED.
What should you do next?
1. If you are sitting on claims for training already undertaken and wish to claim this from the original £2000 cap you MUST send these in to reach HCPA by 30th SEPT 2011.
2. Any claims that reach HCPA after 30th SEPT WILL BE PAID AGAINST THE NEW CAP OF £1500 – NO MONEY FROM THE PREVIOUS CAP WILL BE ROLLED OVER UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.
3. PLEASE REMEMBER AT NO STAGE IS FUNDING GUARANTEED AND IT IS PAID ON A FIRST COME FIRST SERVED BASIS – SO YOU ARE STRONGLY ADVISED NOT TO HOLD ONTO CLAIMS.
Note: FOR THOSE WHO HAVE ALREADY REACHED THE CURRENT £2000 CAP FOR THIS PERIOD AND SUBMITTED ADDITIONAL CLAIMS…
These will be processed after the entire funding period is closed (31st March) IF there is funding left in the pot. Only training undertaken by your staff from 1st Oct- 31st Jan will be paid out of the new cap of £1500 – so please keep sending in your claims
